"The solar farms comes along – instantly, debt's gone; instantly, if something happens to me tomorrow, my wife and my three daughters have got financial security; we've purchased another farm so I've still got my farming interests – I can only see up in it.
"But we had quite a few nights where we didn't sleep all that well because we weren't sure if it was the right thing or the wrong thing, and without anyone really to go to, it made the decisions a bit difficult. It was very uncharted waters, we weren't quite sure what to expect and there was no one really to sit down and discuss this with."
